The Winter Tales Advent Calendars are inspired by magical winter time – its long evenings, favorite books, movies, and of course the winter sky, full of stars and mysteries.

Not only are the colors unexpected – the calendar itself takes the form of a book. Hidden within the night sky are subtle, fantastical characters drawn from stories for both children and adults – including spaceships and comets. You have to look closely to notice them, and once you do, they become a little surprise of their own, beyond the ones waiting behind each window.

The artwork is printed using metallic Pantone inks, adding depth and a soft glow to the design. It is wrapped in a sleeve with a die-cut silhouette of a winter forest. The calendar ended up being one of the winning designs in the Art of Packaging competition.
